Alan & Emily, Norton House Hotel, 23rd April 2011

You may remember the pictures we brought you a few weeks back of Alan & Emily's big day at Norton House, Edinburgh. While the rain poured down all afternoon it didn't dampen our optimism and we managed to bag 15 minutes of dry weather and beautiful skies for an early evening outdoor shoot. Notable moments included the quick-fire jokes in the groom & father of the bride's speeches, necessitating some very last minute re-writes by the best man. He frantically crossed-out well-rehearsed anecdotes and then promptly delivered an entertaining and very funny speech which had us all laughing, in spite of the quick changes. And later, when the wedding party hit the dancefloor, a number of PE teachers in attendance put their professional skills to excellent use and showed us all how ceillidh dancing should be done - fast, furious and with plenty of whooping.
