In addition to being the centre of worldwide media attention following a certain Royal Wedding, St Andrews also played host this year to the wedding of Abby & Dave. Though they now live in Chicago, Dave is a Fife native and studied at the university a few years back. A great many of the guests flew in from the States, getting to sample a typically Scottish summer first hand. We witnessed the phenomenon of a Scottish wedding with a Scottish groom, taking place in Scotland with nary a kilt in sight. There was however traditional music played on a set of digital bagpipes which, let me tell you, are much kinder on the ears in an enclosed reception hall. We found it hard to pick our favourite images from such a good day at work so please enjoy this larger-than-usual post.
