Sophie & Alex, Blythswood Square Hotel, Chinatown & Oran Mor - April 2012
OK, you'll have noticed there are a LOT of photos in this post. It was one of those weddings where it's hard to tear yourself away from the camera, so much love, care & thought had been put into every detail. Every single guest was smiling, Sophie & Alex looked awesome and we got to shoot at some of our favourite venues. We've never seen door games before - its a tradition where the groom and his boys have to complete a series of tests to get into see the bride on the morning of the wedding. Needless to say, if you fail one of these tests the forfeit can be quite harsh. Like 'brushing your teeth with wasabi paste' harsh. My personal favourite was hearing Alex belt out Mysterious Girl for the assembled crowd, dressed up in a garland of flowers and a plastic manly chest. There's kinda too much to write about, so here it is summarized in numbers - 3 properly gorgeous dresses; 11 suited & booted groomsmen; 10 toy robots; 5 forfeits for the boys; a 13 course banquet; one surprise snow storm and 2 very happy photographers.
